Creation as Initiation
The Master of Wild Arts course is an invitation to create the works you have been longing to create for possibly years. It is a container for an intimate education that activates and celebrates your natural curiosities and creative impulses. Here you are guided to create and stand by a new major work in any field of the creative arts or a merging of many.
During this course you will be asked to put your ear to the ground and really listen, to pay proper homage to your dreams and wild psyche. To carve out proper time for your creative freedom and aliveness. To show us who you really are, and in turn show the world also. Your main facilitator Alice Night has a very intuitive way of curating a creative learning environment and prompts the revealing of a deeper honesty than is common.
The course is open to twelve people per year and is conducted mostly online with some in person components. There is a 4 day retreat to begin the course and then a two day gathering to complete it. There are two tiers and two scholarship positions. Tier one: $5000. Tier two: $8000 which includes 2 hours per month of one-on-one session time with Alice Night. Scholarships reduce the tier one cost by half totaling $2500. The course begins in February 2020 and runs for a year and a day.
By the end of the year you will have completed at least one major work (a novel, an album, a theatre piece, an exhibition or something never before seen or named) and your graduation from the course is based on this experience of having your creation arrive in the world in the place it wants to exist.
No prior study in creative fields is required, however there is an interview process with Alice to ensure that this course is right for you before your place is confirmed.
